Boeing Corporation recently announced a significant executive change, with Chief Information Officer Susan Doniz set to leave. This news was disclosed by CEO Kelly Ortberg in an internal memo, revealed last Friday. Ortberg also announced in the memo that Dennis Eng will temporarily take over the leadership of the IT and data analytics team until the company finds a new leader. This personnel adjustment takes effect immediately.
Ortberg, in the memo, also highlighted that Doniz's departure marks the fifth member of the Boeing Executive Council to choose to leave since he assumed the role of CEO in August this year. Since his appointment, Ortberg has been working diligently to address numerous issues and challenges accumulated over the years at Boeing, aiming to steer the company out of its difficulties.
It is known that Doniz joined Boeing in 2020, having previously held a key position at Qantas Airways. Throughout her career, she has accumulated extensive experience, having worked at well-known companies such as SAP SE, Aimia Inc., and Procter & Gamble, for a total of over 25 years.
Boeing has faced numerous setbacks in recent years, including several safety incidents and quality issues that have led to a crisis of trust. Ortberg's appointment is seen as a crucial step for Boeing to seek transformation and rebirth. However, the frequent changes in senior management have undoubtedly added a certain level of uncertainty to the company's future development.
